Tapestry Art Quilt
Alma Stoller

Class Description

Pull out your fabric stash. Bring out your embroidery threads, beads and buttons. In this class, we will use an assortment of fabrics, textures and colors to create a dimensional tapestry-like art quilt. Building layer upon layer of fabric and stitching, we will create a unique embroidered figure with dimensional accents and embellishments. I will show you how to make a rich collection of fabric oddities, how to alter fabrics, create dimensional appliques and how to embroider in order to achieve a unique outcome. Lastly, we will frame, bind and create a hanging loop for our art quilt.
This workshop is perfect for all skill levels.
